Bats66: Party Crashers

"Where Were We Before YouTube?" Dept.:

The 1968 unaired WONDER WOMAN teaser/pilot. Don't even bother trying to pick nits - it's almost ALL nits. This is can't-look-away-like-a-road-accident awful.

This was produced by Greenway productions, responsible for the 1966-67 BATMAN! TV series and the GREEN HORNET from 1967. The narrator, William Dozier (also the show's executive producer) will sound familiar to anyone who watched those two shows - it's Dozier's daughter, right now, who's currently holding up the show's being released to DVD, because Warner Brothers and Fox both want the DVD distribution rights (read that: ALL the money) and she, understandably, wants a cut for her father's invaluable contributions to the programs - anything that was good, and there was quite a bit of that, in those shows came from him.

That's Ellie Wood Walker as Diana and Linda Harrison in the mirror as the "pretty" Wonder Woman she sees herself as. Ms Harrison was the wife of a Fox producer and later seen as Nova in "Planet of the Apes", "Beneath the Planet of the Apes" and in a quick cameo in the most recent "Planet of the Apes" by Tim Burton.

This is really gawdawful. Think of it as a palate cleanser and move along folks.
